7:30PM Update

Despite a surge of moisture out ahead of the dryline (*analysed on the surface observation map above), much of SE OK has had to contend with stratus clouds, limiting heating and thus destabilization of the atmosphere. Thunderstorms have developed well ahead of the cold front and dryline, where a good bit of sunshine was prevalent throughout most of the day.

Warm air funneling in at about 5000' throughout our entire area developed a substantial temperature inversion, "capping" convection. The sunshine, where it was present today, ultimately eroded the "cap" and helped promote thunderstorm activity. We're still monitoring some activity to our west centered around the Low itself and along the cold front.
