2:00 P.M. Update

Please read my blog entry below for more on the severe possibilities for the late afternoon and evening.
Right now we're noticing the low level moisture moving across SE OK. Lower 50 dewpoints have started to creep north; however, notice NW AR remains dry with dewpoints in the upper 30's. McAlester has a dewpoint of 48, so that's up from this morning.
I still feel we'll see showers and storms erupt after 5 p.m. as a short wave moves overhead. There's plenty of cold air aloft with this disturbance, so the lapse rates will be steep, indicating the chance for large hail. I still feel the best severe weather chances will remain across SE OK and SW AR where the deeper moisture will remain.
More updates to follow this afternoon.
