WINTER WEATHER MOVES IN

After the spring weather moved through for Tuesday, we are now dealing with winter weather for this morning. Remaining moisture on the backside of the cold front, that brought the strong thunderstorms to our area just 24 hours ago, arrived just in time for the morning commute. Snowfall totals will be minimal as accumulations could be just over 1/2 an inch. Very early this morning (around 4:30 am) light freezing drizzle was reported near Fayetteville. Icy road conditions are now a major concern for all the travelers this morning. Please use extra caution, drive slow, and leave with plenty of time to get to your destination. We have been getting reports on how slick I-540 is for the vehicles this morning. Fender benders, turned over cars and cars completely sliding off the road are being reported this morning. The snow flurries should be out of the area near 11am and temperatures should rise above freezing near the noontime hour.
