Light Snow Into Thursday

A disturbance aloft is creating light snowfall across Central Oklahoma tonight, and we do expect light snow across our viewing area through Thursday morning. The OKC sounding at 0Z indicated the atmosphere was saturated from 800 mb to 650 mb. Just an interesting tidbit, good snow growth occurs between -5 C to -15 C, which coincides with that particular saturated layer on the OKC sounding. I have included that skew-t to illustrate this concept.

We're expecting a dusting to around a half inch by Thursday morning. No major issues are expected; however, as this wave departs, we'll see a clear sky by Friday morning, with lows in the single digits and the teens. Warmer temperatures are expected by early next week.
