THREE CRAZY WEATHERMEN!
How do you prepare for such an event… you don’t. Speaking first hand, I literally had to rid my brain of any rational thought prior to leaping. The ice on the sides of the pool which had to be broken in order to make room for swimming was so utterly and entirely daunting. At about 11:45AM or so the three of us gathered on one side of the pool and got ready. At one point Drew said “All right let’s do this” and still thinking somewhat rationally I said, “No, hold on a minute”. I kept on jumping up and down and finally I was able to loosen the bolts in my head and start to not think. I then said…”OK”. Drew said on three, and then it was a one… two… three… and from that point all I remember is sailing through air, hitting the water, and a voice inside my head screaming “swim Ted swim”, “swim Ted swim”. In what felt like a finger snap, I was pushing out of the water at the other side of the pool. I do remember thinking that it wasn’t so bad, but then my head started to feel like an icicle. I saw steam rising out of the nearby hot tub and all I could do was say out loud… “HOT TUB HOT TUB” I scurried over and surprisingly, within ten seconds or so I felt almost human.
It will take a bit to muster up the gumption again, but as for next year I say...
HEY, HO, LET”S GO!

I think this a great cause and I look forward to it every year.
