7:00 P.M. Ice Update
Showers and storms have begun to develop in response to a short wave of low pressure moving throughout the region. Most of the area is starting to see scattered showers and storms; however, across Delaware and Benton counties, surface temperatures are hovering right around freezing, so patchy areas of freezing rain may become an issue over the next couple of hours. With the onset of rain, the temperature may drop another degree or so, creating icy conditions!
Bridges and overpasses will be the first to show icing. Be very careful if you are planning to travel across Benton and Delaware counties this evening.
