Snow Forecast for Wednesday Night

We're still expecting a cold front to arrive on Wednesday, causing a drop in temperatures, and the possibility of snowfall for Wednesday night. Moisture will start to increase late Tuesday ahead of the front; however, precipitation will fall as rain during the day on Wednesday since the atmosphere will remain above freezing.

The cold air looks to be in place across the area after midnight going into Thursday morning, changing the rain over to snow. That change could occur as early as sundown across NE OK and moving toward Northwest Arkansas during the late evening.

The best accumulations will remain across the upper elevations of Northwest Arkansas. Most of the area will experience a dusting to an inch of snow, with the higher totals remaining north.
