Tropical Moisture Heading This Way

An upper level low pressure system is currently spinning off the Eastern Florida coastline. This low is slowly moving East and should be in the Gulf of Mexico by Friday. As it moves into the warm Gulf waters, we could be seeing another tropical system. As it moves along the Gulf Coast it will gradually send an abundance of tropical moisture into the area by Sunday. Some weather models have even forecasted this system to move directly over the area. This area of disturbed weather will be monitored very closely here in the 40/29 Super Doppler Weather Center.
