CLIMATOLOGICAL HOTTEST DAY!

Average highs for the first half of August are at 90 F and 94 F for Fayetteville and Fort Smith respectively, but, today marks the pinnacle of summer time heat, average-wise that is!
For this lone day and this day only, Fayetteville's climatological average high steps up a degree to 91F. Here's the positive thought: from this day onward, average temps begin to get cooler. I completely realize that this is a stretch, but on paper and in the record books it's true! So if you are really fighting the discomfort of our present heatwave, keep telling yourself that "climatologically speaking", we're transitioning into cooler weather!
