Wednesday Afternoon Update
With relatively no cap to contend with this afternoon, look for scattered showers and storms to continue to develop across eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas during the peak heating hours.
The majority of the storms will stay below severe limits; however, with CAPE values approaching 2,000, and lapse rates beginning to steepen, small hail and gusty winds to 50 mph will be possible with the strongest storms.
Please be careful in and around flood prone areas! All of eastern Oklahoma remains in a Flood Watch. More rainfall will only increase the likelihood of flash flooding; moreover, the upper level winds are rather light, so storm motion will be slow, creating the possibility for heavy downpours.
