Satellite view of the SNOW!

The blue outline highlights the swath of the snow from the Low. The pink circles highlight a few of the lakes that are visible. If the Lakes were frozen then they would blend in with the white due to snow cover on the ice. This is not the case in the photo. The Lake with the yellow star next to it is Grand Lake O' The Cherokees in NE OK. There are a few high clouds moving through our area, which are loosely within the green outline.

Clouds that don't move are snow or perhaps fog as is the case in the River Valley at the time of this shot. Here is a great site to pull up a host of Satellite images. By playing around with the settings and specifically checking the animate circle, you will be able to differentiate between what is snow and what are clouds. http://www.ghcc.msfc.nasa.gov/GOES/goeseastconus.html
