SNOW NEXT WEEK!?

First and foremost... it sure would be nice, but this system is still five days away. A LOT CAN HAPPEN IN FIVE DAYS! Back when I was in school, and we were hemming and hawing over the forecast, there was the general idea among my classmates that some sort of negative "anti-hype" forecast had to be verbally spoken in order to truly make a good snow event come to fruition. Yes, such an approach borders on sooth-saying, but a few times it just seemed to work... with all of that being said, next WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY are looking interesting.

As of now, it looks like an arctic front will send our temperatures plummeting throughout the day on Wednesday. This may meet up with a swath of precipitation dropping in after the cold air is in place. This would be a snow event! The atmosphere would be below freezing throughout the entire column of vertical air and we would get as much snow as was available with this system. Things will likely change in the days to come, but maybe just maybe this one will pan out!
