SEVERE THREAT LESSENING...

This picture was shot in Siloam Springs. Several severe thunderstorms passed by the area, producing damaging winds in upwards of 80 miles per hour along with hail to the size of quarters.

Another Viewer sent in this amazing story and photo from the Siloam Springs area.

"My 8x8x8 metal dog house flipped aprox 40 feet through a fence and into our pool with my two dogs inside. I had a Siberian Husky and a Lab that were a little shocked and wet, but otherwise alright."

Note how there is a distinct line of severe weather reports across NE OK and NW AR. Storms have "trained" all night over the same areas. Rainfall totals in places have been better than 4" and some of the storms tonight lasted for well over two hours!

Much of the atmosphere to our south was "un-tapped", and a steady constant stream of moisture rich air (Dewpoints at 60 or better) provided the necessary fuel. As a jetstreak nosed in early in the evening, convection fired along a convergent zone right through our northern area. Winds aloft have been lessening and the trough aloft continues to transition eastward, lessening our activity. Another line of showers and storms to our west are being kicked up by a cold front that will be passing through our area this morning. Afterwards we can expect a return to more seasonable temperatures.
