Tuesday Evening Weather Update

Showers and storms continue to develop along a cold front stretched across Kansas and Oklahoma. These storms have the history of producing strong gusty winds, small hail, and frequent lightning.

Instability remains high throughout our viewing area this afternoon. Plenty of sunshine and high dewpoints in the 60s and 70s have helped CAPE values soar between 2000-3000 J/KG. We'll expect the storms to move into NE OK and NW AR from 7 till 11 P.M. The River valley will see the storms between 10 P.M. and 1 in the morning.

With the moisture firmly in place it is safe to say that many spots will see between .25" to an 1.00" of rainfall. Some localized flooding may occur with the stronger storms.
