Aurigid Meteors

My camera was able to catch two Aurigid Meteors this morning just before sunrise. I saw 6 total and compared with other meteors I have observed from other meteor showers these were very fast. Its not too often you can say you saw something thats 2000 years old but thats about how long ago these meteors were laid down by Comet Kiess. Scientists and Astronomers are very interested in finding out what these particular meteors are made of. A group of Astronomers and Scientists actually boarded two private jets to observe the Aurigids from the clear air at 45,000 feet over San Francisco. They used spectrometers, cameras, and telescopes to measure the velocity, penetration, and chemical composition of incoming meteoroids.
