Storms are Weakening...

Severe weather blasted Benton county earlier tonight. Strong winds blew down power lines near Rogers, and hail to the size of nickels and quarters fell across central Benton county. Heavy flooding rainfall also became an issue. Many spots throughout the county received between 2 and 3 inches of rain in a matter of 2 hours.

Storms are weakening across eastern Oklahoma tonight. Some storms may drift into western Benton county, but no severe weather is expected. More showers and storms return to the forecast on Saturday along a cold front.
