Wednesday P.M. Through Thursday A.M.
Showers and storms have developed ahead of our next shortwave currently moving across western Texas. Most of the severe storms are contained in an easterly moving MCS across Texas; however, strong storms are currently moving out of Texas and into the untouched environment of SE OK.
Limited instability still exists throughout this area from some late afternoon sunshine, so a strong to severe storm could develop over the next couple of hours in that area. The instability drops off the further north you go, so storms should weaken as they approach the River Valley.
As the night goes on, we'll expect more elevated storms to develop, and those storms could produce small hail and gusty winds. Upper level steering winds are very light tonight, so storms could dump between .25" to 1.00" of rain in any given location. Be careful for any localized street flooding.
